Wash your bedding regularly. Wash your sheets and pillowcases in hot water at least twice week. Wash any blankets or comforters once week. Vacuum your mattress with vacuum cleaner that has HEPA filter once week.

Keep doors and windows closed as much as possible. If door or window is left open, outdoor allergens can get into your home easily.

Vacuum or wash your upholstery once week. Upholstered furniture tends to collect lot of dust, pollen and dander. Look into buying leather furniture, as leather is easy to keep clean just by wiping it down with wet cloth.

Remove clothing as soon as you come inside. If you've been outside for any length of time, pollen and other allergens are most likely embedded in your clothes. Remove your clothes and put them in laundry basket with lid on it.

Vacuum floors and rugs regularly. Floors can hold onto allergens, especially in front of any door that leads outside. Vacuum your carpet or entry rugs at least three times week. Mop your tile or wood floor using hot soapy water at least once week.
